Frequently Asked Questions
How are platform fees charged?
Starter and Growth include a base subscription plus a sell-side usage fee. That usage applies only to completed sells, and the total monthly bill is capped by plan.
Are buy trades billed?
No. Buy-side activity is not billed under this model. Usage starts only when you complete sells on Starter or Growth.
What happens when I hit the monthly cap?
You keep trading, but the software bill stops climbing for the rest of that billing cycle. Scale plans skip usage fees entirely.
How is this different from other trading panels?
Most panels stop at trade history and a single profit number. Floatly adds bookkeeping, financial reports, tax estimates, and team access in the same workspace.
Do I need an LLC to use the accounting features?
No — but if you have one, you'll finally have clean books. The journal entries, P/L statements, and balance sheets are formatted for accountants. Without an LLC, it still gives you better visibility into fees, costs, and real profit.
What credentials do I need to add a bot?
Account name, password, Steam ID, API key, shared secret, identity secret, and a proxy. Trade URL is optional. Session tokens can be added later for faster reconnects.

Can my accountant use the export reports directly?
